Couple of wishes from known people and some meetings and reviews to end up the day. Had lunch with my pal Santhosh.
Back to home, played with my son, had chats with mom and wife. Will be heading to sleep in a couple of minutes. How can a life so simple... coz its made so.

:-: Mac on PC - VMWare
After my machine got infected with gtalk virus, initially I thought of buying a new machine. Since this workhouse seems to be aged to me :(
Choices were to select between Windows 7 or Mac Leopard Snow. Went to oa couple of stores to choose the best. Dint find any thing that justified my decision. Either sys configuraion or the looks - somehow I came home with the passion for a new machine to leave the decision for the following day.
Lately I discovered, that I can recover my infected machine. Then the choice was to install 7 or my plain old Windows Xp multimedia edition.
Took the decision to install xp and did it successfully. Then came the idea to load up with 7 / Ubuntu or Leopard.
VMWare the best option, considering my hardisk space into account. I was able to succesfully install Ubuntu 8.0.4 and is blogging now from this :).
Next I downloaded iATKOS v7, but at installation time I figured out that my motherboard does not support Hardware virtualization - in turn my dreams to run Mac is still a distant dream.
May be I would rather buy a Mac Book :).

:-: gTalk Virus
Some of you might have noticed my twitter status by now. Yeah last week I had a terrible virus attack after clicking a link in a offline send by my friend, in gTalk / google talk.
After clicking on that, my mouse and keyboard got frozen, and all I can do is sit and Njoy seeing the virus opening the all contacts in my gtalk and pasting the same link; But I was smart enough to pull out the network cable.
He couldn't defeat me, but destroyed my time.
It deactivated my antivirus, system restore was frozen, started corrupting my system files, created new folders, created new services etc... what a mess.I tried various circus to stop him from causing further nuisance....
This was the first virus attack on my machine in the last 10yrs :(
Nothing worked at all, and did a final attempt through recovery dvd, after backing up my data files.
Now I am back to a 2006 xp edition and upgrading one by one to 2009 standards.
By the by wmispqd.exe was the virus who was trying his luck with me.

:-: Will Dubai's financial tremors shake Kerala ?
Even as India's Finance Minister tries to play down concerns over Indians losing their jobs in Dubai -- it's not stopping people in Kerala from pressing the panic button. With lakhs of people from Kerala working in Dubai, many have already begun to feel the pinch from a city-state that was once their gold mine.
Speculation is rife amongst European lenders and bankers that Dubai could be bailed out but the question areises, by whome?
Dubai World is the company that led Dubai's spectacular growth and had asked for at least a six-month delay on paying back its debt. Analysts say that Abu Dhabi will probably force the Maktoums to abandon their debt-laden economic model that depends on heavy real estate investment and inflows of foreign money and labour. This could be job losses for thousands of Indian expatriates in Dubai. Job losses entail a reduction of foreign earnings, especially for states like Kerala from which a large number of Indians have gone to the emirates for work, or are employed in Dubai-based companies at home.
The Indian government however, has been trying to allay fears saying India as a large economy will not be affected deeply. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said that there was no need to panic over the financial crisis in Dubai as “India's exposure to Dubai's financial systems is limited.”
Earlier, World markets were spooked by fears of fresh financial trouble after Dubai asked for more time to repay its $ 80 bn dollar debt.
This had raised fears that the state could default on some of its loans which could cause a major crisis of confidence in the region at the time when the global economic recovery remains fragile. It may raise the prospect of further losses at banks that have loaned to Dubai World.
Meanwhile Indian markets took a sharp cut in opening trades today in reaction to Dubai’s debt crisis. Banking and realty stocks were the worst hit. Asian markets also took a tumble as fears grow about the potential repercussions of a default by Dubai.
However speaking to reporters Commerce Minister Anand Sharma declared that the Dubai crisis would not affect India. “India is a large economy. I do not think that some developments in the real estate in Dubai is going to impact the Indian economy. As far as India is concerned, the housing and real estate sectors and construction industry is doing well. This is confirmed by the increasing demand for construction materials, cement and steel,” said Sharma. On being asked how the Dubai debacle would affect the income of Indians employed in the Middle East, Sharma said his ministry was not mandated to look at remittances.
Commenting on the Dubai debt crisis, several analysts stated that it looked too early to say whether this indicates another hitch in global recovery, and said a wait and watch approach is the best move at this point.

:-: Past to Future to Past
I always think that we are rebuilding our past in a faster pace. Yesterday I was watching the movie Gamer, where in a messenger all of a sudden appeared in front of Ken Castle. After delivering the message, the messenger disappeared from the media room astonishing others. While media center coordinator apologies/rather justifies as a possible virus intrusion. Where in Ken suggested him to have a check on their firewall with one of his SLAYERS....
I was grown with a little knowledge of Ramayana, Mahabharata and other Hindu epics, where in divine people can travel in a speed much faster than what is defined now, where people hear messages from others - across distances in a blink of eye, people reading minds of others while a distance apart and etc.
I believe that, the world out there was much advanced than the one which we live now . We are struggling to be near or around of what were there....
So are we running towards Future or trying to catch up the Past.

:-: IceMan - part 2
The following extract of TELEGRAPH UK

Published: 7:00AM GMT 19 Nov 2009
Jenson Button may have secured the McLaren hotseat to race alongside Lewis Hamilton, but outgoing F1 driver Kimi Raikkonen leaves both men trailing in the category marked 'superhuman'.
Outgoing Formula One driver Kimi Raikkonen a motorsport maverick
Iceman: Kimi Raikkonen has always let his driving do the talking, but his relationship with the media perhaps needed defrosting Photo: GETTY IMAGES
Well OK, superhuman may be over-doing it, but he does have a nickname that deserves comic book status: the Iceman.
The Iceman (a woefully underused way of describing sporty Scandinavians, we're sure you'd agree) was frozen out at Ferrari earlier this autumn and now seems set for four-wheeled frolics on ice as a rally driver.
In common with many comic book creations, the Iceman doesn't say a lot and his words aren't weighed down with deep meaning, but his animated F1 driving has been the stuff of dreams... or nightmares, depending on which side of the 'no pain no gain' credo you fall.
When Raikkonen's car burst into flames in the pit lane on the first lap of this year's Brazilian GP and drops of petrol trickled into his eyes, rather than leap out of the car, douse his eyes in Optrex and run to an optician, he put his foot to the floor and rejoined the race.
The fire went out, but the flammable fluid in his eyes remained. Despite the risk of an incendiary outcome just around the cornea (apologies), he continued for the duration of the race - 70 laps - and finished sixth.
Afterwards the flaming Finn monotoned: "I ended up with some drops of petrol in my eye from the fuel line stuck on Heikki Kovalainen's car and then I was engulfed in flames and blinded. I was going to stop, but luckily the flames soon went out."
He added, with all the emotion of Schwarzenegger delivering a Hollywood line: "My eyes are still burning, but I'm all right."
Driving at speeds of up to 200mph for 70 laps while virtually blinded with your eyes about to combust may seem superhuman or stupid, but this is mere child's play for a man who has been described, often and unimaginatively, as born to drive... brings to mind an image of a baby Raikkonen driving his mother back from the maternity ward with the umbilical cord still attached like a fuel hose feeding a Ferrari. Born to drive indeed.
In 2002, while racing for McLaren, Belgium GP fans looked on incredulously as he powered his car into a sea of smoke caused by the blow-up of a BAR Honda.
Most drivers would have slammed on the brakes knowing that, somewhere in the dense black cloud, the obstacle of a slain F1 car was lying, but the Finn accelerated into the blackness and emerged from the smouldering plume like the T1000 in Terminator 2. A best qualifying lap was in the bag.
And at Suzuka in 2005 he put in a Herculean effort to rise from the back of the grid and torpedo past Giancarlo Fisichella's Renault on the final lap to take the chequered flag. Oh and he won the world championship in his first season at Ferrari.
While Raikkonen's F1 driving was dramatic, his interviews were devoid of drama. When he spoke to the media - he preferred not to - he did so in a Dalek-like drawl.
He sometimes needed waking up shortly before the start of a race after a power nap - or just a nap - and he could be ruder than Amy Winehouse. His response to being asked if he would get over the disappointment of missing a special presentation involving football great Pele and Michael Schumacher at the 2006 Brazilian GP: "Yeah. I was having a ----."
Now the flying Finn is heading for a Formula One sabbatical. He leaves F1 unchallenged as the paddock's monosyllabic maverick.

Interviewer: Kimi, have you ever got angry about anything?
Raikkonen: Yeah, many times but more in normal life than racing.
Interviewer: Can you give us examples?
Raikkonen: No, not really.
Interviewer: What are the kind of things that make you angry in normal life, as you say?
Raikkonen: If you keep asking questions like those.

:-: 6th Semester project
My life has been a high way of up and downs. But all the time, God helped me in sustaining them and to move on. If I start, I would end up in writing a life long mega serial, huh.
The last semester of my post graduation saw a dramatic change in the way I turned up things in my favor. I boarded Bangalore with Five thousand bucks in hand, and it was raised by mother - selling her last piece gold she had. Her intuition might have told her that this is it and things will change.
Bangalore was a huge metro, in the midst of IT and ITES boom. I thought that I might get my job half done here, in this Silicon valley.
I stayed along with my uncle and his family. They were of great help to me during that days. I never felt alone there, even though I was in a pile of troubles. From day one onwards, I started project hunting. All the respected places were occupied by people with high recommendations.
My determination was failing day by day as all the seats were filled up. There were places, where in I need to pay upto 8000 bucks to get a paid project seat. After wandering for a hours, I would come back to M.G.Road. There were seats kept on the pedestrian way facing the road. I take my rest in those rusted seats.
I saw people sleeping on some, others were occupied by some wanderers like me and some by beggars.
Every morning, Uncle used to drop me at his office, from there I used to go for my hunting. M.G.Road is nearly 1km from his office. Evenings I used to come home by bus to half way. Then , I used to walk around 10kms to reach home in sever cold, to say 5 bucks. Each money spend is deducted from my account. I was walking around the suburbs with moonlight as my torch light along side the deserted river. The breeze was so cold that, my boots get ice cold and legs pain like anything as there were no proper roads.
Once uncle was saying about he needs around some ten thousand bucks for some works. B'coz, that time his house construction was going on. I immediately told him that I can arrange around 4500 bucks keeping the rest for my personal use.
My mind couldn't resist from helping him... I dont know why. I forget the fact that I have no other ways around without it.
Now added to everything, I am with 500 bucks in hand. I need to survive. Yeah I need something to survive my life, hope and everything.
Next day onwards, I started to apply for each and every job adds I see around. Doesn't matter whether its a data admin, call center , tutor, programmer and anything on the way.
Nothing turned out to me for the next couple of days. I was distressed, my hopes and determination was going down day by day and I thought it was the end of everything.
Up above the skies some was watching the rough patches I'm going around. Sooner, I got a call from a job consultant as am I interested in a call center job. They asked me to join the interview place in 10 minutes as the next batch is scheduled. The place was near to where I was.
It was showering, and I started running like anything. In between praying to all the Gods I know till that time. Finally, with wet clothes I reached the venue in time.
Three rounds of test and a interview. HR asked my why did a Computer PG student like me want to work now, rather than doing projects.... I simply replied that, I like to stand alone.
It was a Dec 27th and was asked to join their call center on Jan 1st. I started my life with a monthly salary of 6k + performance allowance.
My joys were unlimited, but my friends were against this idea to join call center rather than doing the project. I cannot blame them as well, since I haven't told any one from where I come.
I earned enough to send money to my home, buy sweets for uncles child, to do a paid project. In between shifted to a new place. All the night I used to work at call center and come back by around 6 am to my room.
My room is hardly, 190X200 cms partitioned side way. Funniest thing is that I even have a full time room mate there.
At the end of six months, I submitted my paid project to the officials at college and got A+ grade.
GOD have definite plans for me, from there onwards...

:-: Ross Brawn
After Jenson clinched the title, I was having mixed feelings. Sad coz, I always want Raikonen's name there. Happy coz, Brawn have made it there. I still remember the early days of this year. There was this team, who doesnt know whether they are going to be there in F1 and now without them F1 2009 would have been nothing.

As Brawn said in the interview to Autosport:
The fact that ten months ago, the team didn't exist. We had a team of people who worked through a whole winter not knowing if they had a future. But they still worked 60 or 70 hours a week whatever it took.

As Brawn said in the interview to Autosport:
The fact that ten months ago, the team didn't exist. We had a team of people who worked through a whole winter not knowing if they had a future. But they still worked 60 or 70 hours a week whatever it took.
Survival was the first objective. Genuinely survival. Get to the first race and start to try to put the thing on its feet. See if we can start to find funding for the future because funding was there, but only for a year.
Survival was the first thought. You go through all these different phases. The first phase was survival. Then because Nick Fry, myself and other members of the management were totally absorbed in trying to keep the company going, in the background all the other management were trying to progress the technical side, and producing the car we had.
These are the words of the Legend called Ross Brawn.

:-: New born and Gas
All babies have gas; some babies simply have more than others. Some babies have an easier time passing gas, which may stem from a learned or innate ability. Gassiness in the newborn and many babies often results from multiple factors, not just one simple thing.
There are different ways that air can get into babies' digestive system. Gas is produced in the digestive tract from the moment baby has his or her first drink of breast milk or formula. Newborn gas is a natural by product of digesting lactose, proteins and other nutrients contained in breast milk or formula.
Some Pediatricians and lactation specialists assert that traces of gas-producing foods such as some vegetables and legumes can be passed from mother to baby. Some experts also warn against excessive acidity in the maternal diet. Citrus fruits and juices, strawberries and tomatoes are high in acidity and may irritate the infant. Dairy products in mother's diet can also lead to "intolerances" in baby. The problem is usually linked to the milk protein found in milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, ice cream, etc. Soy and peanut intolerance in babies often accompanies dairy intolerance. When breastfeeding, a mother can test how these common culprits may be affecting her child by religiously eliminating all dairy, soy and peanut products form her own diet for two weeks. Reintroduction of soy first, then a cooked milk product (such as hard cheese or yogurt) should be done very slowly to monitor baby's tolerances.
Air bubbles can also be taken through baby's mouth and nose. This can be the result of the suction created during nursing or bottle feeding. If bottle-feeding make sure that the bottle's nipple is the right size. If the nipple is too big, it will cause your baby to eat too fast. If it is too small it will cause you baby to gulp air.
Another possible reason for infant gassiness is hyper-lactation syndrome. When a mother has an abundant milk supply, she may produce a large amount of foremilk(the first milk to come out of the breast, when nursing is started). Foremilk is higher in water content, higher in lactose and usually delivered with greater force during letdown. In excess, foremilk can make baby's stomach cramp, creating more fussiness. A baby that gulps the quickly flowing milk also tends to take in more air, thereby getting gassier. Because the baby may not be getting enough of the hind milk, he or she tends to want to eat more often, which perpetuates the problem. The baby that suffers from hyper-lactation syndrome is characterized by higher that normal weight gain, increased gassiness and fussiness.
Over stimulation can also lead to increased gassiness. Just as many adults experience intestinal disturbances in stressful situations, so are babies affected by their environments. Sensitive infants that are bombarded with noise, lights, touch and multiple experiences will usually cause the baby to "shut down" in an attempt to reduce stimulation. This shut down response does not completely insulate baby from the effects of the stimulation. Babies that are easily overloaded often experience more sever gas, fussiness and difficulty sleeping later in the day or night. In general, the more activity (errands, visitors, T.V., phones, etc) in baby's day the higher the chances of gassiness and fussiness in baby's evening and fight.
A certain amount of crying is normal in all infants, since it is their only means of verbal communication. Babies' crying may indicate that they are hungry, lonely, warm, cold, uncomfortable or in need of a diaper change. Many babies go through periods of crying for no apparent reason as they simply get used to the new world. Crying in general causes babies to gulp air into the digestive system. These air bubbles can get trapped in the stomach and/or passed on to the intestine. Gas pain can also be a direct result of air swallowed during crying.
Why does it cause pain and discomfort?
Normally, gas is not a problem and causes no pain or discomfort because it is quickly and easily pushed through the digestive system. However, babies are born with a very immature digestive system. Most experts agree that for the first thirteen weeks of life outside the womb, the newborn digestive system is literally just learning to function. Muscles that support digestion have not developed the proper rhythm for moving food efficiently through the digestive tract. Furthermore, newborns lack the bacterial flora the develops over time to aid in digestion.
Gas has buoyancy and gas pockets can become trapped ;inthe upper and lower intestines. The gas acts like a cork, inpending or halting the flow of gastric juices and build-up pressure causes painful bloating and swelling of the abdomen. Baby's immature digestive system is unable to cope effectively. When gas pockets form in the stomach, this can cause the stomach to distend, but is also the main cause of hiccups.
.
What can I do for my baby's gas?
Burping the baby will reduce the amount of air in the stomach, so that itdoes not pass on to the intestinal tract. Unfortunately, burping is not 100% effective at eliminating gas, since it has absolutely no effect on the gas created in the intestines during normal digestion. There are baby massage techniques which may prove effective in helping release gas (Itisy Bitisy Yoga book has great ideas).Simply applying light pressure on the tummy can soothe and help. You can also try carrying baby in the "football hold" face down on your forearm with baby's legs straddling you elbow and baby's chin resting in your hand. Again, gentle pressure placed on the little tummy can help soothe and release baby's gas.
Warm water given via bottle which helps the gas pass through the intestines. Gripe Water (without alcohol) which helps the gas and hiccups. Each baby is different and the gas may be in the stomach or in the intestine, which would be the deciding factor on what you might use.
Consulting a GOOD pediatrician is always better, coz the value of the newborn in our life is very percious
You can also try carrying baby in the "football hold" face down on your forearm with baby's legs straddling you elbow and baby's chin resting in your hand. stumbling I fall away it's hard to make a change
easy to be who you are when no one knows your name
walking past the lonely walls with eyes as cold as stone
climb inside the emptiness it's safe when you're alone
don't be alarmed
don't be afraid of what you are
just look around
everybody is someone
everybody is someone
all this time you lived alone without a memory
built your life upon the ground that sinks beneath your feet
step outside the misery for once you feel alive
second chances only come around once in a life

:-: I Can't Think Straight
'I kissed that girl on my first night'. Seems quite normal. But what if, these were the words of a Woman.
Majority of us would be nodding our head, with the subline - whats wrong with her. But isn't she so true in expressing her feelings. Would there be a definite struggle behind that Kiss.
The movie 'I can't Think Straight' plots the same. Its is all about :"You can only find true love when you're true to yourself".
The story rounds around Tala & Leyla... their Friendship, Fun, Love, Emotions, Struggle...

:-: Appu
Can anyone fill up the space created by death... We lost him, today.
I always knew him as a fierce angry tall man who doesn't like me. I was always afraid of his presence, when ever he is angry. I used to hate him... as he never was caring to me.
He used to take me out for evening walks. I couldn't recollect much - about my childhood vacation at my grand parents house.
As time passed by, I grew up. Observing, learning, understanding my world around me. After a long period of time... a part of him was quiet evident in me too. I don't believe that I had learned anything from him. But, I realized that some part of me was made of him.
As years passed by, I still remember the advice he gives to me. I realized that some of his prayers were for me too. May be, I became I with a part of his good wishes for me.
Still I remember his smiling face, upon hearing the news I passed schooling, graduation, when I got my first job, upon hearing my wedding fixture...
I called Ammunna, but couldn't speak anything. But she was bold to tell me that "Our Appu passed away today morning". I don't know how my father is able to bear this loss. He used to say that - he will be there till the end, to support his parents by any possible means.
I wish, I could have been with them...
In memory of G. Madhavan Nair.

:-: hTC Touch HD
Well this would be the fourth gen HTC I am playing around. Touch HD, have redefined the concept of Pocket Mobile computers. I had the latest one uncovered last week, after going through a complex - rather piratical decision making.

Highlights
| 3.8-inch wide, WVGA (480 X 800 pixel) display offering a cinema experience on the go | |
| Vibrant TouchFLOTM 3D user interface, responding perfectly to your finger gestures when scrolling through contacts, browsing the web, and launching media | |
| Surf and download at broadband speed with HSDPA internet connectivity | |
| Google Maps enhanced by the wide screen viewing platform | |
| 5 megapixel camera for quality stills and video | |
| 3.5 mm audio jack makes the Touch HDTM compatible with the majority of audio equipment available |

When I had the trinity for the first time, I thought it was the most beautiful gadget which I have experienced so far, but then came the Touch, Diamond and now the HD.
Each one is a master piece of its own. BUT HD + WM6.5 rocks. What ever others say, I felt iPhone 3g WAY BEHIND HD.
I'm not here to write a full fledged comparison/ pros or cons or what ever shit you call . But just to share this:
Why should you shed your major part for just having a apple logo in your hand, than to have an amazing piece of digital engineering working for you.

:-: Felipe Massa'
The Ferrari driver remained in "life-threatening" but stable condition on Sunday despite "reassuring" results of his surgery on multiple skull fractures, a doctor said.
Peter Bazso, the AEK hospital medical director, told reporters that Massa would remain in an induced coma until Monday, but will be woken up periodically during that time.
When asked whether Massa's life remained in danger, Bazso answered: 'Yes, of course.'
'At the moment, we have to overcome this life-threatening condition,' Bazso said, adding that a CT scan revealed "expected results after an operation of this type.'

:-: True Friends
"Even I don’t believe in best friends and true friends and all…
There are people who come and go out of our lives, who appear to be very valuable at moments.
Through the course of our life, some people leave their signatures in our life… We tend to remember them.
Friendship is a good feeling…. A feeling of sharing and caring… having fun, sharing happiness and pain…

Friendship is a good feeling…. A feeling of sharing and caring… having fun, sharing happiness and pain…
Asking for help and advice and giving out equally….
Our roles completed….. We always seek to play the next role.. We move on with the sweet memories and the lessons we learned."
The above extract is penned down by one of my FRIENDs. I dont know to say whether, this person is a True or a Best friend. But as She quoted, I would surely remember this person, whenever I think about Q8.

:-: Way back into love
I've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I've been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past, I just can't seem to move on
I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need em again someday
I've been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
Oh oh oh
I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I've been searching but I just don't see the signs
I know that it's out there
There's got to be something for my soul somewhere
I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestions
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end
oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again

In my life, I never had choices...
I was asked to walk - alone.
But I made my options, close to my heart
To pick them up accordingly !

:-: When did I forget my dreams
Have you ever came across this type of feeling. You were racing for a dream the whole life, while turning back you dont remember what it is.
May be I am wrong, this is not my feeling. But everyone does have these kinds of issues. But how can this happen to me.
Life at 360 degrees
